18 Days Until Christmas…
Dec 7th, 2008 Posted in Miscellaneous | no comment »The sun sets soooooo early in the winter months, I really do hate that. I love that California has warm weather most, if not all of the year, and the sun stays up to emit enough heat to exercise until 6:00-6:30pm every night. But with the time change and the winter season approaching, it gets cooler and darker so much quicker. By the time I get home, it is 5:15 and it is already dark!
I haven’t worked out in weeks and I feel like such a slacker. At least in New England, it gets so cold that everyone can hide their winter fat under lots of fabric. But on the West Coast, the heaviest layer is probably a light jacket. So there is not a cycle of losing weight for the summer, then gaining it back at Thanksgiving & Christmas. I really hate that about California. But I guess it is a good thing so I keep myself in check and do not over-eat every chance I get.

22 Days Until Christmas…
Dec 3rd, 2008 Posted in Miscellaneous | no comment »My first memory of music on the radio is about 16 years ago…I can still see the mini-van I was riding in, my mom is driving and we are heading to school with Country songs filling the air. We listened to nothing but Country music in the car when we were younger because my parents were always driving and they controlled the radio. I started to get into other kinds of music when I got to high school, but K-8 was strictly Country. Today, I have the only two Country stations that I can get on my radio saved as presets so that it can follow me as I drive around Los Angeles.

He and my younger brother, Kyle, go on this week long hunting trip every year around Thanksgiving time. They drive up north then take a tiny plane to an island off of the Canadian coast that is filled with deer. I told my mom that next year, she should wash his hunting clothes with fragrant detergent (not the suggested non-fragrant kind) to deter the poor creatures on their next hunt.
24 Days Until Christmas…
Dec 1st, 2008 Posted in Miscellaneous | no comment »Thanksgiving is over and can you believe it—Christmas is just around the corner!!
Today being December 1st, I thought I would host a count-down to Christmas on my blog. Kind of like one of those calendars with the chocolates behind each door—remember those? My mom always got three of them for me and my two brothers. Kyle would eat all of his candies the first day, but Curt & I were pretty good about saving it up to have one each day.
There is nothing better than chocolate in the morning!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious
May your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off of your thighs!
Unlucky – Part Two
Oct 2nd, 2008 Posted in Miscellaneous | no comment »About five months ago, I told you about my bad car karma. The lack of luck continues…
Last night, Ryan and I went on our anniversary dinner at the Melting Pot. It was really nice, long and quiet, which is what we love the most about this restaurant. We strolled out of the restaurant, full of delicious fillet mignon, cheddar cheese and chocolate. When Ryan put the keys in the ignition and turned it to start the engine—it would not start. The lights flickered and there was a quick click-click-click coming from the dash.
Happy Anniversary To Me!
Oct 1st, 2008 Posted in Miscellaneous | one comment »Three years ago today, me and Ryan and 200 of our family and closest friends were gathered in Meredith, NH for our wedding. I can not believe I have been married for three years! It feels like only yesterday that I was walking down the aisle with my Daddy, dancing with my flower girl, and cutting cake with my Hubby.
