Empty Hamper
There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the bottom of the hamper. I love getting all of my laundry done during the weekdays, which frees up Saturday and Sunday so that I can do more lounging and less house work. I have given up cleaning as well, which is the best thing I ever decided to do. Now don’t start thinking I’m a dirt-ball or anything–I still do the basics once a month–vacuum the carpets, sweep & mop the kitchen floor and wash the bath mats. The amount of dog hair visible on our tiled floors is just ridiculous! Even I can’t go longer than a month without cleaning up all those black hairs.
The one cleaning thing I do on a daily/weekly basis is laundry. I regularly wash our clothes, bed sheets, towels, blankets, etc. I can not stand when I drop my socks in the hamper and I don’t hear them make a long descent to the bottom.
Last night I found the bottom of the hamper and it seriously increased my mood. But that flying feeling of freedom from laundry for at least two days was squashed when Ryan walked in from the garage with arms full of two week’s worth of old, smelly work out shorts, shirts, socks, underwear, sweatshirts and jeans. Awesome.
