…so you talk and you poop candy…
I remember hearing about this girl and now they are making a movie about her. I had no idea Carrie Underwood would be in it…
My favorite part is when he calls her a mad woman…
Sunday night after Ryan got cleaned up from playing soccer earlier that day, we headed out to find some food. It was still early in the evening around 5pm and we had talked about going to the movies as well. But as we headed out, he said that he wasn’t feeling the movies. So I asked where we would go. He said he wasn’t sure, but I could tell by the look in his eye he knew exactly where we were going. I am pretty easy going with nightly plans and I am not as picky about food as my husband is so these kinds of last minute changes to our evening out never bother me.
Happy Valentine’s Day to all my readers! All 2 of them…
That is about all of the celebrating I ever do for this holiday. Ryan and I are both in agreement that it is a silly holiday to waste money on. I insist on him not blowing money on flowers for me. And I get out in front of the holiday months prior and let him know that I will not be getting him any candy or gifts or what-not.
Monday night as I was pulling into our driveway, Ryan was just about to take Cali for a long walk. He asked if I wanted to go with them and I was ecstatic because I never get to walk with him. I am usually taking Cali on my own because he is working out on his own–and let me tell you, walking alone with the puppy in the dark gets lonely after a while. They waited for me outside while I rushed in the house, dropped my purse and changed my clothes.
The route he took us on was not one I had ever done before, so it was really nice to get a change of scenery and it was an added bonus having someone to talk to (other than myself) while exercising. It was a little bit longer than my normal walks, which are usually about 25-30 minutes. This walk was about 45 minutes. I felt great after we got home and totally wanted to do that walk again.
There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the bottom of the hamper. I love getting all of my laundry done during the weekdays, which frees up Saturday and Sunday so that I can do more lounging and less house work. I have given up cleaning as well, which is the best thing I ever decided to do. Now don’t start thinking I’m a dirt-ball or anything–I still do the basics once a month–vacuum the carpets, sweep & mop the kitchen floor and wash the bath mats. The amount of dog hair visible on our tiled floors is just ridiculous! Even I can’t go longer than a month without cleaning up all those black hairs.
The one cleaning thing I do on a daily/weekly basis is laundry. I regularly wash our clothes, bed sheets, towels, blankets, etc. I can not stand when I drop my socks in the hamper and I don’t hear them make a long descent to the bottom.
Last night I found the bottom of the hamper and it seriously increased my mood. But that flying feeling of freedom from laundry for at least two days was squashed when Ryan walked in from the garage with arms full of two week’s worth of old, smelly work out shorts, shirts, socks, underwear, sweatshirts and jeans. Awesome.
Animal Planet hosts their annual Puppy Bowl in conjunction with the Super Bowl every year. This year’s Puppy Bowl VII is bound to be the cutest yet. I hear they have chihuahua cheerleaders!
They will air this year’s Puppy Bowl multiple times starting at 3:00 PM EST on Sunday, February 6th so that everyone has a chance to watch it, click here for the schedule.
Today I’m 29 years old and you know what??? I couldn’t care less!
On our refrigerator at work, they post a list of when everyone’s birthday is throughout the year. Someone came up to me and started to say, “You have a birthday coming up!” But before I could let her get past “You have” I blurted out, “I know! I’m having a boy! I’m so excited!”
She burst out laughing. I told her I didn’t care about my birthday! I’m having a baby boy, waaaaay better than turning 29!!!!
However, just because I don’t care about my birthday doesn’t mean I can’t celebrate it over 4 days…
…I got a broken refrigerator and a busted connection from our heating unit to our condo. Fa la la la la – la la la la! Awesome! We knew the house was chilly; warm air (or any air at all for that matter) stopped filling our house on Dec 23. We called the fix-it guy and he came out, pounded on the roof for five minutes and said that the problem was solved. Well, he was WRONG!
Ryan & I shared this Christmas Eve with his parents, his grandmother, his sister and her boyfriend. We met up at Rustico for dinner and had a wonderful meal, but as we do every year, we all passed on dessert. And believe me, it wasn’t because the creme brule wasn’t to die for. Their holiday tradition is to open up Christmas presents on Christmas Eve after dinner. So as you can imagine, we were all pretty anxious to get home, get the family photos over with and changed into pajamas so the unwrapping could begin. Here are some pictures from that night, enjoy!
I just can’t get enough of fruit these days. Whether it is in the form of a piece of fruit, juice or popscicles, I find my taste buds craving it early in the morning (before I even get out of bed), in the middle of the day, after work and at night. One day after work I had to pick up some apples so I could eat them on my walk with Cali and quench my craving for fruit. It was the oddest thing!
Last week, when I got out of bed to take Cali to the bathroom before I got ready for work, I had to take 3-5 chugs of juice from the bottle. I love how the sweet juices swirl in my mouth, it is the best taste in the world! Well, right now anyway.
